AUSTIN, Texas, October 27, 2005 — It's the last day of the festival. So, after today I'll get things done, huh? Yeah, right.

I played tennis tennis and then rode the recumbent bike for a while and did a few weight things.

I worked on my article for The West Austin News. I never know when to quit editing. [Ed. note: You should put this up as an essay.] Yeah, OK, someday.

I watched some episodes of Jeopardy in my bathrobe. Our bookkeeper was here. She accepted an invitation to go eat and go to the

movies with us. I had invited SuRu, too. We gathered ourselves and went to Mars. None of us were blown away by the food, but we liked the server's socks.

The first movie we saw was Severance . Imagine a guy loses his job in dotcomland and decides to write a screenplay, then imagine he writes a screenplay about a guy who gets laid off and doesn't initially see that the thing to do is write a screenplay. Fun looking for Austin venues in it. One was the Hideout theater. But we saw it at the IMAX.

Sorry, Haters was a psycological terrorist thriller thing set in New York. It wasn't The Interpreter. Which was a good thing. The ending did not sit well with our pals. <spoiler alert> If you click here you will see why they didn't like the ending but it's a spoiler. </end spoiler alert>.

The Austin Film Festival looks forward to 2006. And I'm on to doing other things. Let's see the Book Festival is coming....
