The Visible Woman
Watches (and Listens!)

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 30 — Watched Law and Order: SVU. Saw the Miro String Quartet perform live.

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 29 — Watched CSI: Miami. Clever plot...man falls and kills another guy on the ground and walks away. Limps rather. Watched a little bit of stuff off the DVR.

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 28 — Watched Cold Case and Jefferson in Paris, which I'd recorded on the DVR.

DALLAS, Texas, Nov. 24 to Nov. 27 — Been watching news channels in the hotel room and football games with the relatives.

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 23— Been watching too much TV.

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 21 — We watched Wool Cap which was a sappy story redeemed by interesting direction and William H. Macy. We watched Back When We Were Grownups, another TV movie made of a sprawling family Anne Tyler novel. I liked this in a way and I guess the best part was watching Peter Fonda play a nebbish, a hopelessly obsessive and glum man aging poorly. Look back, if you need to, at Easy Rider. We also watched a Crossing Jordan.

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 20 — We tried to watch an episode of ER we had on the DVR, to watch a documentary I'd recorded also, to watch an Icelandic movie, a football game. Nothing suited. We ended up watching Antonio's Line, a Dutch film that I liked quite a lot once it got rolling.

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 19— Nothing much on TV. Saw American Ballet Theater present a mixed rep. One piece was a Balanchine thing and two were modern ballets by Jiri Kylián, full of humor and surprises. One was a modern ballet by Anthony Tudor called Pillar of Fire. It was like an opera only ballet.

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 18 — A bizarre CSI. It seems that they have to get more and more bizarre to do something different. Mutilated transexuals?

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 17 — Old episodes of Dallas and The Simpsons. Some crime shows, probably.

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 16 — Part of one of those military crime shows with Mark Harmon in it. A CSI: New York off the DVR.

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 15 — Junk TV, sadly.

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 14 — Attended women's basketball game.

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 13 — Football and a CSI.

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 12 — Some crime shows.

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 11 — I hate that Who Wants to Be a Millionaire is all celebrity questions now. I know nothing about celebrities. I watched Without a Trace. Ho hum. Must make time to see some movies...cable, DVD and there are three or four in the theaters.

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 10 — I half-watched West Wing and Law and Order. The rest is a blur.

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 9 — OK, I am officially tired of law enforcement programs and old episodes of The Simpsons. Sadly there don't seem to be old Northern Exposure episodes on my cable anymore.

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 8 — I watched the long CSI episode and I watched a bunch of stuff off the DVR. Crap is still crap. I love Rosencrantz and Gildenstern.

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 7 — I watched some Simpsons, some Dallas, part of Rosencrantz and Gildenstern are Dead, Kind of the Hill, part of the Dallas reunion show (God, soap opera stars reuniting is bad on bad!) and Desparate Housewives. (FFP likes it. I'm not so sure.)

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 6 — I watched some Simpsons, some Dallas, part of Gray's Anatomy.

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 5— I watched some Simpsons, some Dallas, some crime shows (Third Watch).

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 4 — Just the same old TV.

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 3 — Besides the usual TV garbage I watched enough of 28 Days Later to know I didn't really want to watch it.

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 2 — Election results, of course. Some Simpsons and part of The Last Picture Show.

AUSTIN, Texas, Nov. 1 — An episode of CSI and one of Who Wants to be a Millionaire. I am so lame. Then I watched bits of a Crossing Jordan. We finally watched Bush's Brain. Boy, that Carl Rove is a scary dude. No scarier than LBJ, of course. I guess what's really scary is not what Republicans will stoop to but that politicians of every stripe in this country are willing to go for the fast route to power.
