sunshine Sunshine puts a different spin on things. Or does it?
The weather report said it would be sunny. They weren't wrong. It seemed impossible yesterday for the sun to emerge from the drizzle and gray. But it did. Sunny with a completely blue sky. I guess I actually do feel sort of upbeat. When I was going to retire I thought that when it was beautiful out, I'd spend lots of time outdoors. Taking a walk, sitting at a coffee shop table sipping java, working in my yard, playing tennis. It doesn't seem to happen that way. It's funny when it's dreary that you know it can be sunny again. You've seen it. But still you are suspicious. |

Stayed at home this morning to wait for the handyman to come and see about some jobs. Then went to the gym. From four to six we had a CD release party for our friend Karen Kuykendall. We went to Clarksville Pottery before that so FFP could look for 'accents' for the new room. He bought some stuff. You will have to wait for final, decorated photos to see it...this will be some time this year, perhaps. When we got home we invited some friends over to see some TV later on and I decided to dust off some stuff in the big room. It's ridiculous. The subs make dust and the maid does nothing about it. FFP and I moved it around. It will be bad this week, too, if the wood floor guys show up. We ate while watching the red carpet part of the Golden Globes. Our friends came over and we watched the Globes until Sex in the City and then we went back to the Globes and then switched to The L Word. I tried to get through the groaning pile of papers but didn't succeed...sleep overcame me.
