nests of wires An old home receives an endless accretion of wires and circuits. It can be daunting.
We live in a fifty-something house that has been subjected to four fairly major remodels. So there are many confusing bits. Today the phone guy was here to connect the three outlets I put in the new area. I wanted two lines (one rotaries to the other) on the outlets. I also wanted a CAT5 line run from an outlet I had the remodeler put in to my office. Well, I wasn't here when it started. FFP didn't know what to tell him. He was marveling at the box outside when I got here. We have five phone lines coming in and one used to have DSL. We have many outlets. He says we need to redo that whole box outside. But he had wired up the phone but only for the one number. He did the other number but when he left I couldn't get a two-line phone to switch between the lines. I inserted a L1, L2, L1+2 splitter and found that, yes, both lines were there. Hmm. Oh, well. He's coming back to work on the CAT5 and the messy box. There are two many wires in this house. And in my office. There is too much wire everywhere and too many gadgets. And there is cross talk and confusion. In my brain, too. |

I need to do something about the accretion of papers as well as wires.

I was late to water aerobics. I didn't have my suit on either because I thought they'd bail because of the wind but they didn't. I changed and got in. Dad was there and several women. After water aerobics I showered and worked out and went home. There was furniture assembly going on and I was useless, of course. My friend who is doing it went to get her hair done and FFP went to the eye doctor. When he got home I showered and when my friend came back I suggested a movie. FFP had his eyes dilated and was waiting for a workmen. So my friend and I went to Bistro 88 and went to Barton Creek Mall to see 21 Grams. She didn't like it at all. I didn't like some of the self-mutilation. Thirteen has too much self-destruction and mutilation for my tastes, too. At home, I tried to read some papers but the stack just grows.
