adrenaline
Today I felt shot up with adrenline
and possibilties. The world is so full of things to think about!
Some days your heart
beats fast from planning, considering, imagining. Adrenline and excitement
surge through the veins. Today was one of those days.
First, because FFP
let me make some airline plans for France, next year. Second, because
I attended my first meeting of a group to advise on a capital campaign.
(I signed a confidentiality agreement...so that's all I'm gonna say
about that.) Third, because I was thinking about and planning everything
from when to play tennis to where to obtain my next WEB space. Fourth,
because I ate at a new place in the 'hood for a second time that I want
to become my new favorite place if only because they had half price
Happy Hour apps and good drink prices and a bartender/waiter who really
hustled. But some of the food is really good..
Yeah, some days the
heart beats a little faster. Added to that we showed the building again,
trying to get backup interest for the contract we aren't so sure of.

JUST
TYPING
Excitement.
Comes from a varitey of side roads.
Heart rate up.
I've stayed so calm.
In retirement.
But maybe.
One needs a hit of adrenaline.

[Pacific Blue...fyi they have a 4-7 Happy Hour with a 5pm start on Saturday
with 1/2 price apps and special drink prices...it's a good deal!]
Bombay Saphire martini with a twist
part of six different apps including dumplings, fried cream cheese things,

Time flies....
I should have gotten to the club
earlier but, hey, I was playing 'find the award fare' on American. I spent
time going to a meeting downtown and then I seemed to waste the rest of
the day doing I'm not sure what. The maid was in my way! I was too excited
to calmly accomplish anything.

Reading.
Read .I.F.
Stone's A Nonconformist History of our Times: The War Years 1939-1945
on the bike. In a way, it's discouraging how much the comlaints then
mirrored Halliburton and the war in Iraq or, for that matter, Brown and
Root and the war in Viet Nam..
Read a few bits
of old newspapers and started a collection of Paris writings called Paris
in Mind ed. by Jennifer Lee.

I made notes
on a column I won't write. I thought about helping on a non-fiction project
of FFP's.

Stomach is better if not 100%.
I'm a little too excited emotionally, but in a pretty good mood.
