Canada's bear...broken pottery and china from all over the world
homage to Canada's mothers
"A man's worst difficulties
begin when a man is able to do as he likes."
It is not enough to be happy; it is necessary, in addition, that others not be. |

waiting for A lunch date appeared last minute with SuRu and one of the Nancys. The Nancy had taken a trip to New York. She has my 'New York box' and said she would return it soon. She told us about the trip. The apartment they rented, the museums, the shows. SuRu had on shoes that looked like a Gustav Klimt painting. She bought those in Las Vegas. Everyone has been off somewhere. We had lunch at this Vietnamese place in a little Vietnamese center on 183 (two restaurants, a grocery, a Vietnamese video store, etc.). It is next to Target. Dad wants some suspenders. Hmmm...wonder if they have them? I check out Target. Wander around pricing stuff. Buy myself a $10 long-sleeved mock turtle TShirt. Buy some clip-on Khaki suspenders for Dad. Buy a small present for my great nephew and a jigsaw puzzle for the family for Thanksgiving. I take the suspenders to Dad. I help him put the third seat back in his van. (We took it out for the trip to Colorado.) In the evening, SuRu, FFP and I go to Chez Zee and eat. SuRu discusses mutual relatives with the owner. Then we go see a play. Waiting for MacArthur is a really neat play about women during WWII. A nurse in Corregidor and her mother, friend and teacher back home. We really enjoy it.
