still more bears
"If thou intendest to live
happy, thou must make few Reflections on Life."
It is not enough to be happy; it is necessary, in addition, that others not be. |

home again I am awake early. As usual after coming back west. I go to the club for a workout. I call Dad, shower, go to the cleaners, and takefilm to be developed. Pick up Dad and friend Deanna at BMC and go to Z'Tejas for lunch. Had Ruby Trout salad. Fish to offset all the meat I've eaten in Germany. Make a couple of calls vis-a-vis my dad's business. Come home, pick up pictures. I go visit my in-laws. They show me a bunch of stuff they've bought at garage sales. My father-in-law says his biggest regret not being able to drive is not being able to go to garage sales. But they manage to make a fair number of them in the neighborhood, walking, buying little knick-knacks, toys, lamps and a new fireplace screen. "I called the Salvation Army to pick up the old one," my mother-in-law says. Sometimes the friendly garage salers cart the stuff home for them. SuRu and I take a dog walk and then she and FFP and I heat up chicken breasts and salmon cakes and cook a sweet potato and have dinner. Then we watch Monday night TV. I'm sleepy early. In and around my day, I've unpacked my bags and sorted stuff and done my laundry.
