ending weakly I have an important meeting. Or so it seems to me. It also seems to go well. But I wonder how much good is actually done. We face a daunting task. Lunch finds SuRu and I at Edge City, sitting upstairs reading the two- or three-year-old magazines. They at once seem fresh and impossibly dated. She has a burger and I have a vegie burger. Carb loading seems like a good idea. When we are filling our soda cups, she says she is going to do something different and 'enjoy a Hi-C orange soda' (she is quoting what is written on the spigot). The spigot end falls off and orange soda sprays in several directions. I tell her as we mop up and the staff fixes it that this was probably the highlight of our day. We decide to stay in and watch DVDs. I eat what FFP fixes and then we watch Citizen Kane. I try to read the papers. I doze. I cough.
