wildflowers Jack spent some time at our house today enjoying Chalow, our toy box, the backyard (bugs, birds, pond) and a flashlight. He figured out that the keyboard I gave him was a decoy and pushed the monitor buttons to have an effect on his computing environment. Taking a drive up Texas 29 seemed to be the way to spot some wildflowers. We took off with the baby and the old folks in tow and everyone survived, saw flowers, had some food at one of those places in a small town where the food is just OK but the people are friendly and baby tolerant. I take the boy's picture with the bluebonnents and Indian paintbrushes. For an evening's entertainment we dine on the patio at Four Seasons. Winston is endlessly indulgent of all of us including baby Jack who enjoys watching a wedding party on the lawn, dropping crayons through the cracks in the table and discovering that gravity can make you go fast on a little incline in the grass. Kids don't need much but a lot of patience while they practice stuff like walking.
