eyes of babes Babies are all full of possibilities. Some of which are developing by the second. It was a work holiday. Spring Holiday? Good Friday. Friday the 13th? Whatever. My niece flew in with her little son, Jack. A friend had given her a first class upgrade coupon and so while this wasn't his first flight, it was his first FIRST CLASS flight. He'll never be the same. Emperor Jack, I call him. Actually, he's an agreeable and happy boy but he wants to push and probe ever button, wheel and anything else he sees. He spies the birds in the backyard. When I carry him outside he turns his head and then I hear a car. His hearing is still accute. Playing with the baby occupies us all. He throws the ball. He finds things to get into. He tries to change the settings on the computer. FFP has been planting things in the front yard, but he comes out to my mom's house and joins us for dinner and brings wine and a key lime pie. We have given away our tickets for things for the weekend and I'm just enjoying family. When you actually visit with kids, you see how little they really need electronic toys or anything. The light fixtures, a flower, a ball, a cane that they might pretend is a vacuum cleaner is all they need.
