change I don't mind change, I really don't. In fact, I'd mind it less if it weren't so much of the same thing! Mom isn't feeling so hot after some tests at the hospital yesterday. "Doctors will make you sick if you let them," I comment. But she and Dad put together hamburgers and SuRu and I eat with them. We decide to celebrate change with a dinner at Zoot. SuRU goes and drives us. We drink a 1994 Andrus Reserve Bordeaux blend that is especially fine that we've been saving. The chef sends out a complimentary app of foie gras in a cherry sauce, duck breast, greens and toast points. Delicious. I have some pork and rabbit country paté and a sweetbread appetizer for an entreé. Back home, we watch an old episode of Sex in the City. Have I mentioned that the weather has been hot and muggy? It's not bad that it's 80 some degrees. But the humidity makes it seem a bit oppressive. I already miss the cool, even cold, days we had. Sunny and cool, that's what I'd like to see.
