Health update:I feel great! Hurray for massage! Hurray for sleep! |

a beautiful sleep improves the day Bought a new cellular/digital phone and Mac OS9 books at lunch. Mac-tupid as I am, I took my first support call at work on the set-up. I sent one of our 'adopted kids' who needed some work to my Mom's yesterday and today to help her unpack boxes. She said it was a trip through the family past, unpacking photo albums and other nostalgia. Only my dad really looks himself in the little painting I've made from an old slide to commemorate that feeling. I like the way these programs let you make art out of everything. Or try. Speaking of art, I just remembered that the "Let's Entertain" exhibit in Portland, OR had these two giant paintings that appeared to have been made while spinning the canvas and dribbling paint on them. I remember 'painting' like this in fairs and carnivals in the 60's and even with a home contraption. These large paintings made me nostalgic for a time when I was less demanding of 'art'. It also made me sad that more is now required. (You may ask, "So, LB, is this journal art?" Probably art per my 60's standards but not against my current standards.) When I got home, FFP and three youngsters were going through a FinalCut Pro tutorial. Having a fine time.
The film kids and SuRu and FFP and I all went to Fonda. FFP did one of his 'buy dinner for another table' tricks. For a VC guy with lots of money. They came over and chatted us up. Nice couple really. Said they moved to Balcones Drive from Westake because it was 'too far out.' Home again, we watch the History Channel and I'm treated to hand and foot massage again. Boy, I'm easily cured. |
