slipping everything in When the day starts, I'm tired from a sleepless night and I realize that I'm going to be squeezed for time. But I just move along and it's okay.
I want to go see Triplettes de Bellville with some girl friends this afternoon. And I want to work out. We have an event at 5:30 in the evenign. I don't want to get up early because I had another sleepless night and I've barely slept. We have several promised workmen showing up. And then I find out that FFP has two meetings. It doesn't look promising. But, while FFP is gone to his first meeting, I hear from the contractor and figure out that no one will be here for a couple of hours. So I get my work out. Then I manage to supervise the workmen and then get a shower and go to the movies. I even find time to drop by Borders and get Thirteen and Whale Rider so I can watch those next week. I'm really getting into this business of trying to see as many nominees as possible. If I just see "'Lord' and 'Master'" next week, I'll have done pretty well covering a lot of the categories. FFP is really stressed out when I get home and I go for copies of West Austin News for him and then he is more stressed out because his story ran incorrenctly. We finally go downtown to the reception. Afterward we go to the Driskill Grill and have a meal, too. I have to do laundry and pack at home, but it all seems fine. Everything got slipped in, somehow. |

I got up late, fielded phone calls about the remodel and then went to the club. Got home and the wood floor guy came and then some people to clean up. Finally got a shower and SuRu came and got me and we went to the movies. We met another friend there (a Nancy) and there were only about three other people in the movie. We all loved Triplettes of Belleville. I don't know how someone came up with this movie but it is very cool, sending up just about everything about France, the U.S., animated features and dogs. That dog is hilarious. Good old Bruno. I hope this flick beats Finding Nemo. We went by Borders and then FFP and I finally got off to downtown. Got home and packed a bit and folded laundry and it was soon midnight. |
