and I didn't even work out All that verbiage yesterday where I talk about failing at everything but working out. Then today, for the second time this week, I do no exercise.
I meant to do it. Work out, that is. No workmen were coming. So I could have gone out with FFP at o'dark thirty. Could have gone after he got home. But the fine sleet falling (but melting on the street) made it look cold and forbidding. I could have gone just before my lunch but a friend called and said she was coming by. I thought I'd go at three and that time slipped by. Then I still had time to go before we needed to get ready for tonight's performance. But then I got the idea that we could go early and get a snack downtown before the show. So I didn't exercise. And I didn't put yesterday's journal to bed (remember...my other sacred cow is this journal) until late in the day. However, I felt all right about the day. I did a couple of things for FFP. I put together a simple WEB page for a friend to hold the place until we come up with a better design and more copy. I figured out how to do some things on one of my WEB hosts. I completed the writing, design and printing of a book for my great nephew's birthday. (Now just must get it mailed.) I made a big bowl of tuna fish salad. And I pondered just how I'm going to get started tidying up this office even though there is no space to move around. Yeah...I'm really OK with the day. I feel like I accomplished a few things. Tomorrow, though, I'll exercise and be more current with the journal. |

I was up around eight. I kept falling into things. FFP wanted me to convert a document which inspired me to install my copy of Adobe Acrobat (the one piece of software I hadn't reinstalled after the old WIN98 machine's disk died). That didn't help, really, but then I found a tech tips site that I joined (free) to get access to tips for converting the file (a publisher file) and then I signed up for a free Adobe service to turn it into a PDF online. Through all this I was installing, booting, surfing and working on finding pictures and composing pages for my great nephew's birthday present...a book called Brothers. Before I knew it, it was almost four and I hadn't exercised or showered so I did the latter and we got ready to go downtown early for our event. We parked miraculously on Congress and as we were going to the bar at the Stephen F. we saw two dancers who had arrived too early for the house to be open for them. We all went in and they had a snack and tea while we had a bunch of snacks and wine. We were still early for the show but we got in by getting the attention of our buddies. We talked to people and introduced people and then we got our seats. The performance was amazing. Shawn Colvin, Tucker Livingston and Grupo Fantasmo provided live music from the pit and three choreographers provided beautiful and innovative dance. This was the best performance! Wow. We went to the party after and talked to more people, met one of the dancer's parents. We love getting to know the young people in the company.

Newspapers. [If
I didn't read the newspapers, I'd miss stuff. For example, the other day
a dog and a horse both got stabbed in Austin in unrelated incidents. The
dog died. How else would you know?] The Conquerers by Michael Beschloss. Voices of D-Day. (No bike so didn't read it today.)
