organize I thought I'd organize my life today. First, by getting the calendar straight.
I wouldn't think getting the calendar straight would be that hard. But it consumed a lot of the day. What day were we going to do that? Do FFP's parents want to do that? Should we accept an invitation? I also tried to check things off the list. E-mails I owed, stuff like that. I could get things done, I theorize, if I didn't start new projects. Only I started a new project which involved trying to figure out how to do something I think I figured out a long time ago but couldn't remember how to do. I even tried glancing through my Macromedia Fireworks books. Yeah, it was a computer project. And the trouble with those is that they can't be seen so even if you succeed you still have a mess surrounding you. The truth is that the more I try to get organized, the more chaotic things seem to become. Yeah, I started a new project today. I just couldn't stop myself. Help me! Ah, but life is rich, isn't it? I'm also weary of things that come in the mail. Like offers to 'help' me sell odd lots of stock that I have because fees might have kept from doing it. Onlly the fine print says the company who issued the stock for some spin off will take a fee! In addition, to any the broker takes. So, what, I should sell these shares for their convenience because, really, I'm just not welcome at the stockholders' table? No, I think I'll keep the shares to irritate them. I have reduced my paperwork a lot by getting propspectuses and annual reports and stockholder voting online. Truthfully, I don't read the fine print online either. |
