I started out the
day checking backups and finishing up yesterday's journal and watching
Tim Henman and then Serena and Andre play at Wimby on cable while watching
the real time Wimby scoreboard on the WEB. It's incredible that real-time
scoreboard...WOW! They update it constantly. I guess that's why it's
called real-time! Ain't technology grand?
I listened to Wimbledon
radio, too, with those cool English announcers. They were sometimes
doing the same match as TV, only it was about a point behind. Sometimes
it was a different match. I had the audio going on both TV and the radio
thing so FFP thought I'd lost it when he came in. I read some, picked
up stuff around my office and even did a few little Fireworks graphics
lessons and played a couple of games of computer Bridge while the tennis
was going.
When I had a belly
full of tennis and the day was winding down in England, I went to the
club and did an hour on the bike, reading (Peter the Great, what
else?) and sneaking peeks at the continuing Wimby coverage on TV.
At home, I showered,
did laundry, read some more. And fired up the chargers for my digital
video camera so I could experiment with it.
I ate about six different
times including dinner with FFP while watching The Simpsons and
Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?
It was a happy day.
