doing something different It's only the slightest change. I don't go dog walking. Instead, I get up and have coffee and get to the hospital in time for my dad to go to Sunday School and church. Because I want to go somewhere from 3:30-7. It isn't fair to expect so many hours from him. As it is, I expect too many. People can't believe he keeps up the hours he does there or that he is 85. I did walk the dog yesterday. With SuRu and Zoey, Chalow and I went to the area around Flight Path coffee shop. And had a snack there. It's an area not without a few interesting sights. Then when someone came from the church to sit with Mom in the afternoon, I took advantage of it and Forrest and I had an outing to South Congress. Just wandered a couple of shops, had an iced coffee. A break.
Mom is somewhat better in a way. She is more energetic in her eating. She was wearing down at the end and I'd feed her some. Now she finishes herself. She's been getting all the way through the supplement drink, too. Thanks good. The pureéd food looks disgusting, of course. Will she be able to start walking again and be able to get in and out of bed and bathroom by herself? It's hard to say.
It's hard to worry about other things right now. The stock market, work, retirement. One thing about the decline in the stock market and the many business failures, we decide. Some people who richly deserve it get their comeuppance.
In the evening, we go to a 'musicale.' At the home of a friend. Everyone from a thirteen-year-old to seasoned professionals sing, sight read each other's accompaniment. Our buddies Andrew and Darla don't have room to dance but do some prose pieces.
