hi ho |

Yeah, I worked, of course. But it's my Friday. I actually finished a couple of things. And I answered a few questions. Maybe I even gave the right answers. Lunch with FFP and old buddies from long ago. We ate at Kyoto. We had a fine time. But why is it that we always get traditional seating when I'm in my hiking books? Fortunately you don't really sit on the floor but you have your feet in a well. But it's hard for old folks to get up and down for sure. Stopped by the parents after work. Mom was baking something. Dad was reading a book. I dropped off some kid stuff to donate to their church. They made a trip to Dallas and got back today, but they had fun and saw folks. Dad says he won at cards. They says they have a party this Saturday night with church people. "You are always going to parties," I comment. "We are party animals," Dad says. Forrest is checking out the house sitter when I get home. Having someone stay here is a good idea, methinks. SuRu, FFP and I go to Jorge's for greasy Mexican. Somehow Tex-Mex doesn't fulfill its promise to me anymore. Leaves me full, though. I don't drink any alcohol so that I can pack without forgetting anything. Back at home, I pack my stuff, get FFP to go over the list and drag his stuff out. I pack a carry on with essentials and a bag with the rest of the cloths and the backpack with the phone and books for the plane and the computer and such. It's been long enough since I went anywhere that I don't mind packing all that much. I'm eager to just get away and relax for a couple of days. Our friends have activities planned. But I'm cool with just sitting around. And being cool. It's supposed to be 'heavy rain' weather-wise tomorrow. I'm wearing my waterproof hiking boots and I have anoraks in our carry on. An umbrella, too. So there. Rain away. Rain, what a concept! Bring it on.
