sinking in work I didn't want to go to work but I had meetings. I wanted to leave early but I kept finding things to do. I went to lunch at my folks. Mom had meatloaf, spinach casserole and salad. And homemade bread. We hadn't seen each other in over a week. We used to go months but now it seemed like a long time. Mom thought she needed to call the cable company to fix her TV but it appeared a lightning strike had blown a couple of parts in their big TV. It hissed and popped when it came on cold and it had too much red. Seemed like a TV, not a cable problem. Other TVs in the house were fine. I had FFP find a cable repair guy to come by. They seemed much better. Dad had been to the dermatologist to get a skin cancer off. He said he was eating well again. They'd seen a lot of friends and family in Dallas, visited cemetaries, played games three nights with friends. It was good to get home and not have to go anywhere. FFP made chicken sandwiches. He feel asleep in front of the TV. I realized that I had to pack a few things to (sigh) spend tomorrow night in Houston. But I don't have to leave at the crack of dawn. And I found someone to ride with you is going to go and come when I need to. I'm not eager to make another trip to Houston alone. OK, I'm not eager for another trip to Houston.
