contacts, customers, uncomfortable chairs I don't like sleeping in hotel rooms. I wake up weary and hit the snooze a dozen times. The conference isn't as bad as I've imagined. I get through it. Some colleagues and I end up at the same restaurant in the evening. But it's OK. Really. Some customer said they loved a feature I put into a product. And I looked around and saw all the same characters and same types of characters and I said to myself, "Wow, this is so not me." And the chairs were SO uncomfortable! But after dinner...nothing works. I cannot sleep. I pay for the movie ("Miss Congeniality" if you must know.) Stay awake right through it and through the end of "Matrix" which is playing on HBO. I can't seem to sleep without the dog and the husband. The second night out is the worst, I think. I'm really quite speechless. Speechless and sleepless.
