"Read no history; nothing but biography, for that is life without theory."

decompress

It's nice to have a day when you don't have to do anything. But then you have to figure out how to use the time. What you want to do with yourself.

The first problem is getting out of bed. Finally did that after nine some time.

Finally headed off to take a walk with FFP, SuRu and the dogs, of course. It's not eXtreme dog walking without the dogs. We walk to Upper Crust and SuRu takes along something to eat. We feel we will never eat again but are considering doing it before we get back. We stroll through the park behind CM, a nice one with a sort of wetland in the middle.

It's hot and muggy. We sweat. Chalow gets very tired and coughs, in spite of several stops for water. We need to get out earlier. I wish for the cooler days. A breeze saves us a little.

We read the paper. We eat. We go out for a visit to Barnes and Noble but we buy nothing. Our folks (all four) call about going to Luby's for dinner but we've already stuck some nachos in the microwave so we invite them to come over afterward. They come over and we watch a little TV. After they leave, we watch a documentary about this guy who went around posing nudes in various places in every state. The pictures are, truly, works of art.

I fiddled around with getting this office straight. It just gets a little worse each time because I seem to just drag things out of closets, files and cubby holes to consider what to do with them. I've told Forrest that I want to simplify, to have fewer things around, to consider everything's purpose. I tell him I don't want to buy things because I don't want to have more things around, more than not wanting to spend the money. It isn't going very fast though, this desire. The place is a mess.
