beautiful day And I enjoyed it, too. I went to work this morning because I had a phone meeting at 11. When it was over, I called Mom and Dad. They were entertaining their oldest friend who lives in an assisted living place near them. Betty was Mom's roommate in college. They both secretly got married. She and her husband went with my parents to get married. We all enjoyed a lunch of chicken, asparagus, sweet potatoes and beans. And homemade bread Mom made in her bread machine and Dad toasted. I checked Mom's machine and paid $16 to renew the virus protection. (We only bought the computer a couple of month's ago so the 'free' Norton Virus protection wasn't free all that long.) Then I went home. I checked my work mail but basically took off. I read the papers in the garden for a little while. The little dog enjoyed this with me. Then I learned to make pop-up menus in Fireworks. And disjoint rollovers. Interesting. Well maybe learned is too strong a word. I took a lesson and fooled with it a little. And I looked through some old pictures and sorted some stuff. And scanned something for FFP. And watched CNBC. What is the stock market going to do? I love cheese. I love cheese fondue. I like to hang out with my buddies. SuRu and FFP and I went to LG's. Our buddy Pam is visiting (still working on the chocolate book) and we needed to get together. We drank a South African Sauvignon Blanc with some Gemichte Salad. A French Sauvignon Blanc with the fondue. (LG uses a bit of Courvosier instead of the Kirsch that I think is called for and a little Cayenne at the end.) I eat too much of it. I love the stuff. LG thinks it doesn't thicken enough and water decided that she skipped between recipes. I don't care. I love it. Home to reading in our chairs for a while and snoozing. Perhaps you are wondering about today's pictures. (Or not if you are a regular reader and know that I'm always showing things for sale on ebay when I don't have anything original to show.) These come from a collection I'm working on that is called 'ebay a to z.' I have never invested in ebay (stock) but I'm thinking about it. In spite of a PE of over two hundred, it is an amazing business model when you see that they just take a percentage of whatever people will pay for all the Fisher Price airports and Chinese airsick bags. Yes, people collect airsick bags. I read about someone who had hundreds.
