work? I could't get into work. I have, by not being on vacation, reduced my e-mail to under 100 messages and I've stopped receiving 'our e-mail account is over limit' messages. I've actually dealt with some of the messages. After a lunch meeting, I went to Mom's and got her out of a computer jam. Then I worked from home. I did work, too. Well, a little. I goofed off some and sat and pondered how to do what I need to do. So...you read this and you know I live in Austin and you wondered where all the SWSX news was? Or not. Anyway, Pamie was here and she has a pretty good entry on it. If I may quote her:
Times like these force us to think about what's important. I have everything I need and more. I have my health and the people I love are doing fairly well in that regard. I can just enjoy that. Especially if I can convince FFP of it. Oh, sure, I could have done more with my career, done some of that real (not the journal) writing I'm always threatening to do. But there is always the future.
