the margarita is an answer but not a solution The cable guy came early this morning before I left for work. He brought four digital cable boxes to replace the four boxes we had. It is actually pretty cool, but, no, I still suspect there will be nothing to watch sometime. If that happens you can tune a music channel and read a book. I do like the ability to scan what's playing and what will be playing while still watching. I work. I have an idea I like for my proposal. It has almost no chance of being adopted. I listen to some of the detailed technical stuff going on in the hallway. I'm jealous. I lunch at a company function. I listen to yet another new vice president say 'ease of use' and 'solutions.' I come home late and FFP is still at his meeting. I always feel disoriented when he isn't here. We go to Fonda. We have some appetizers (corn soup and ceviche for me) and I have a margarita. He wants enchiladas, though. Will they serve them in the bar? Yes, as long as it is "whatever day it is...a weekday" according to Steve. He has molé enchiladas with cheese. So I have another margarita. I send my friend Mags an e-mail when we get home. But about all I'm worth is sitting in my easy chair and looking at digital cable. Today's picture was taken on the evening I wrote this entry. The same time I took this picture. FFP said the paper said Clinton was there. I think if we'd wanted to spend $30,000 or something we could have been there with him. I preferred it without him! They must be good Democrats, the owners of this house. The elevator has a plaque that says Liz Lift. You know Liz. You saw her in these pages, too. |
