rainy monday

Preparing presentations for others, preparing to present others' presentations. It is hard and yet it isn't real and it doesn't seem like you are accomplishing anything.

Using other people's material at first leaves you at a bit of a loss as to what you want to really say and then you have to criticize all these tiny things that don't really matter.

I ate lunch in the office. I came straight home from work and worked some more and answered e-mail. Forrest and I thought about what we would take to New York. Dark suits. Of course.

The highlight of my day was that Forrest bought me a present. A blockhead bendie and a Top Dog bendie. He was across the street from Hog Wild getting a house key made for our dog's babysitter and so he went in and got me a present. He's so sweet.

I may not be very good at updating for the next few weeks. But I'll try. I'm impressed by people who have kept at this for years. A couple of months feels like an accomplishment. I know some of you are reading, but I'm actually doing it for me. Heck, I already use it to go back and see when things happened. I have such a terrible memory that the stuff from a few weeks ago can seem fresh to me.

I have to drive to Houston tomorrow. I hope it stops raining.
