beautiful and bright day and fine wine night Oh, wow. I love spring days. Yeah, well it is spring, no matter the calendar. First, I had the most lovely dog walk. We went to that part of Tarrytown near Lake Austin. It was only our second time there. Last time FFP joined SuRu and the dogs and I. This time he stayed home to garden. We enjoyed seeing what was blooming. Azaleas, redbuds, some lantana. We crtiqued the gardens and houses. We plodded along enjoying the cool, bright day. We watched two labs play in the lake. They'd go out together for a stick and bring it back, each holding one end. Maggie and Doak were very cool. They were interested in Zoey, but their dad didn't want them to play. We also met Olive who was jogging with her dad. And two little dogs, also loose, chasing two kids on bikes and an older guy (dad?) on a skateboard. We snacked at Mozart's on bagels. Pleasant place for a coffee stop, looking out at the ducks. My afternoon drifted along...playing with computers, wandering around the yard. And a quick shower and into black tie. Austin Symphony Fine Wine Auction. It's a nice dinner with some spirited bidding for wine. We actually end up with some, but I bid on a lot more and send some prices upwards. For charity. The meal is outstanding and elegantly served. For all the fancy events these days, it's not always easy to say that. If only I had another weekend.
